Roof
Replacement & Repair
In 2009 Building # 3
underwent the roof replacement & repair The Project
consisted of removing the existing roof & damaged
sheathing. Also repair to the roof truss system
where necessary, repair to the fire walls and the
damaged roof sheathing. An engineered roof system
is then installed. The new roof system consist of
an underlayment of snow and ice shield around the
perimeter of the roof & in all the valleys, then a metal
ice belt is installed on the lower portion of the main
roof. On the upper level of the roof
Architectural 40 year shingles are installed with a
ridge vent and cap. This type of roof is used mainly in
cold areas where ice and snow can build up.
You can see the roof on building #3, it has held up very
well and there are no evidence of any leaks and it is
moisture free due to the continuous venting system.
